Yadira Caraveo is making things worse.
CLAIM: Yadira Caraveo said she would work with Republicans but votes with her party 90% of the time.
In her 2022 ad, Caraveo said, “partisan games won’t help Colorado families but finding solutions will.”
But according to ProPublica, Caraveo has voted against her party only 9% of the time.
CLAIM: Caraveo voted against border security.
On May 11, 2023, Caraveo voted against, H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, which would require Homeland Security to take actions to limit illegal immigration into the United States, including by resuming construction of the border wall.
CLAIM: Caraveo voted to reduce penalties for fentanyl.
Yadira Caraveo was a co-sponsor of HB19-1263, which “defelonized” single-use drug possession for heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and most other illicit drugs.
